Exciting opportunities to join our dynamic team at a Practice  in South Wales.  
We are an independent and growing, small animal practice, with an accredited RCVS hospital and 3 branches.  
We are proud to have a purpose-built hospital with all the facilities and equipment to enable us to deliver a gold standard level of animal care.  
Due to continuing organic growth, we are currently looking to recruit two veterinary surgeons.
The current practice team is made up of 12 vets and we are looking to increase this to 14. We have a supportive team with that works hard and socialises together, there is a healthy mix of newly qualified vets and highly experienced vets.  
This means if you are newly qualified we have experience with training new grads and can support this exciting start to your career. We are a busy practice with a varied case load, this has enabled some of our graduate vets to complete their PDP within a year.  
For an experienced veterinary surgeon, we offer the opportunity to expand surgical experience through a busy and varied surgical list, gain sole charge experience at branch level, further enhance medical knowledge via our busy Tier 3 hospital ward. We are fully supportive further training ambitions and certificates are encouraged.
We work alongside certificate holders in cardiology and ophthalmology and have other vets working towards certificates, as a result we are very fortunate not to refer many cases.  
We have a great team of nurses who will support you. This includes a head nurse, a specialist theatre nurse, 7 RVNs and 8 SVNs. Our fantastic nurses are here 24-7 and answer our out of hours calls, this means that your on-call duty only involves the actual emergency work.  
We pride ourselves on providing a full out of hours emergency service and this is shared on a 1 in 6-night rota. Weekend coverage is 1 in 3. However, the practice believes in true work life balance and to ensure our Vets get this balance right there are rota'd days off after OOH work and a maximum working week of 45 hours. While on call you have the support of a senior vet as back up to discuss cases, assist you and attend if required.
We are based in Bridged, South Wales. With quick access to the beautiful welsh coast line for great surfing, coastal walks and many other water sports. An hour away from the beautiful Brecon Beacons mountain range with its hiking trails and annual Jazz festival. We are close to Cardiff  which is has been voted 3rd most liveable city in the UK!       London is accessible through a 2-hour train trip.
Competitive salary package, CPD allowance, RCVS Fees paid, 5 weeks holiday.
